Susan Barnes

A North Bay native with 30 years of experience in public affairs, communications and land use, Susan Barnes founded Barnes & Company in 2000. With  over 25 years of experieice in public affairs, communications, media and land use, Susan is known for her strategic skills in garnering positive support for community needs and implementing effective communication stratgegies shaping public opinion. Barnes & Company’s client list includes experience in communications and issue management at the national, state and local level.

Susan Barnes is a Board Member for Social Advocates for Youth and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts. San Francisco Bay Trail, California Chapter of the American Association of Political Consultants. 

Susan Barnes has a BA in pshycology and a BA in political science from the University of California at Irvine. Barnes was selected to represent the University of California and the United States on the first student peace exchange with the Soviet Union set up by President Regan during the 1988 US and USSR Summit.
